Ryland is a founding partner of Lipman Frizzell & Mitchell LLC, helping establish the firm in 1977 following six years with McCurdy Lipman & Associates. A graduate of the University of Richmond, he also completed advanced graduate studies in real estate at the University of Florida.

With nearly five decades of experience, Ryland specializes in real estate tax assessment analysis, condemnation, and litigation support throughout the Mid-Atlantic. A seasoned expert witness, he has provided testimony before the U.S. Bankruptcy and District Courts, the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, and the Maryland Tax Court, as well as various circuit courts throughout the region.
